for uzuri 018 we return to one of our home grown artists � jitterbug. time has flown since his last release for us in 2010, but we have been quite eager to get some new material out from him for a while � and, based on feedback we have had, plenty of other people are keen to hear more from him too. both his raw winter and beaten trax eps were pretty popular releases for us and his dj appearances always create a stir, so we are pleased to bring you this, the arcane theory ep. the track sequencing on this record is pretty aggressive � front-loaded with the confrontational rise of the machines. a track that really lives up to its title, sounding like the production line at cyberdyne systems� all stomp and evil synths, like a bad mood e-dancer. fallout couldnt be further from that � relaxed and making no attempt at all to get in your face. itll win you over, though. just a nice, deep groove and a lovely, phased beat. could play it for hours� the whole of the flip is devoted to nomads, a chiming, acidic wander. nearly eleven minutes in length. the kicks never at the fore on this one � most of the action occurs at the mid and high frequencies � a resonant 303, lots of hi hats and, later, synths which expand on the eastern-flavour of the track title

gogo music is ten years old, and now is celebrating its 50th release. this time it is a great collaboration between ralf gum and robert owens. ralf gums mix is a deep track that start with percussive groove. deep, fat bassline under elettro synths perfect for dancefloor. the remix is under dj spinnas knowledge with same ingredients but more deep and hypnotic. useless to comment robert owens voice. always useful instrumental and beat versions. a package to have ... for sure in top 10.

famed for their self-released km editions series, keyboard masher join daphni & tom croose in the resista family with the roaring afro editions - two faultless edits that distil the spirit of mother africa. opener >juju< is an epic fifteen minute long journey filled with joyous, duelling guitars, syncopated percussion, shuffling rhythms and a myriad of unexpected passages and turns. captivating from the off, there is only one word to describe >juju< � magical. on the flip >tcham tcham< takes a more direct route to the dancefloor � riding on a more electronic 4/4 beat, it is unashamedly leftfield, with a thunderous chug, a great guitar riff and deadpan calls of >tcham tcham<, which all builds up to an anthemic climax. drop it and watch the dancefloor melt.

all nite ep is the young mancunian waltons second set on hyperdub, after his very well received walton ep debut for the label in 2011. title cut >all nite< kicks it off with warm plucked strings, diva moans and lazer-like synths stretched to the point of anticipation over cracking grime handclaps and bass drums, until the track drops into a blocky bass line playing hide and seek with low arpeggios that spiral in and out of the mix, over a giant pounding metallic kick drum before layering on the warmth again. the whole track plays with a fine balance between warm, disco-like lushness and exuberant roughness. >mallet< is driving and darker, building detuned, bell-like tones over a 4/4 beat accented by breaks and fills and gaps, dropping into a big bass line and syncopations that disrupt the beat and bring the drama. >kush< is different again, taking the pace down with low end, synth hip hop with glassy chords, running over woozy pitch shifting rhodes chords fed through a layer of crackly gauze.

room 315 step up to the fledgling kinfolk imprint for three tasty psyche-edit numbers, opener >the eon men< sets the standard with its robust bass pulse driving a slow beat forward on a flurry of digitised synth solo and live guitar action, whilst >night on the shore< begins as a sinister number with lurching bass, but soon opens itself up with its solitary guitar line and floating synth pads which recall the end credits to an 80s thriller, all driven along with minimal 808 percussion. on the flip, edit masters soft rocks provide their own version of >the eon men<, taking the grizzled quality of the original and creating their own minimal wave inspired reworking, with a brittle bassline joined by shady echoes of dub music in its cavernous backdrop and savage low end.

ly sander & michael j. collins join forces to bring you raoul06 via raoul, a deep, soothing ep. no response is a laid back and haunting piece, featuring warm bass and soaring pads. percussion is kept simple here, with the focus on the bass groove and introspective wording. home listening and chill out sessions arent complete without this air-y number. to bring it up a bit, the >deep space orchestra remix< lays a beat and a groove under the track and takes us to galactic depths. a cool energy is spread throughout and saucy percussion takes the levels higher. this is a late night dance track that gives goose bumps. it will certainly help to reconnect senses in the early morning. >russian roulette< displays nice use of delay and relaxed percussion. this hasnt got the boom of techno, but it does have the space-y synths and ambience to bring you up to your feet. when everything is in place, it feels right an afterparty delight.

the fifth release on baud music is the 2029 ep by dario zenker aka 4.26 from munich. distorted dub imitations rooted in a rhythmic foundation, supplemented with penetrating driving shakes, shape the character of the first track the chief. a floating, thumping bass line and claps with elegant dreamy strings characterize the second track least one on the a side. the flip side welcomes us with sherhood with his straight solid beat and a dominant, catchy hook. alen combines dubtechno and dupstep into free-floating wave elements and obscures the perception of the 4/4 time, which transfers the listener into a state of suspense.

an incredible u.s.a.-belgium collaboration between the dirtiest mc juan huevos and phranteek. all started when phranteek was sound engineering a juan live act. he just says >man? i guess you ll like to records some miami bass tracks?<. juan was like >of course!<. at the end of is tour, kick the lyrics on some phranteeks 808 beat. and the magic happened! phranteek says that mr. huevos is a studio beast� and we can feel it.
on b-side, daveluxes dubstep remix is incredibbly fat. we never thought releasing dubstep music, but this is not dubstep� this is deep schizophrene robot sounds highly doped on bootybass music!
